Dawson City Homecoming 2002 - Dawson City is celebrating it's homecoming year in 2001 which is a celebration of 100 years of Incorporation as a city in 1902. This will be a big year for Dawson with special events going on all year culminating in the Homecoming celebrations during Discovery Days (August 2002). Dome Development - The Midnight Dome above Dawson City will be undergoing beautification and development to better suit its purpose as an overlook and viewing area. Discussions on what development is needed have taken place. Proposals included an observation tower with interpretive panels, and a trail up the road to the dome with access from 6th Avenue.

History Book for Dawson City - Applications have been made for funding to allow John Gould to do more research in Ottawa and Whitehorse archives to add to his existing writings and put together a pictorial History Book with text which would be published for the 100th Anniversary of the Incorporation of Dawson City.
